About the project

Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (JMCoE) “Resilient and transforming Europe” (Transform EU) aims at deeper understanding of current
and future challenges of the twin transition in the EU providing evidence-based knowledge for broad general public as well as for policymakers.
The specific objectives of JMCoE “Resilient and transforming Europe ” are: to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of
sustainable development of Europe, to foster dialogue about Europe’s sustainable growth between the academic world and society, to
provide evidence-based knowledge for policy-makers and to spread knowledge about the EU and its development to the wider society.
The project is organised around 3 main work packages: green and digital transition, resilient society, and role of the EU in the world. The
planned actions and deliverables address various target groups within the University hosting the JMCoE (academics employed at different
Institutes of the University, Polish and foreign students studying at the PUEB, and graduates) as well as individuals and organizations from
outside (students and teachers from secondary schools, students and academics from other universities, local and regional administration, EU and regional policy-makers and NGOs). Overall, it is estimated that approx. 640 persons will benefit from project deliverables.

The JMCoE is expected to enhance knowledge about the green and digital transition in the EU and its consequences, enlarge teaching and research capabilities of the project members and foster dialogue with the society.
