The seminar “Resilient and Transforming Europe. Achievements, Impact, and Future Perspectives”

The seminar will provide an opportunity to present and discuss the main achievements and impact of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Resilient and Transforming Europe” (Transform EU), as well as to reflect on the most important challenges currently facing the European Union and on possible directions for its future development. The Transform EU project aims to deepen the understanding of the current and future challenges related to Europe’s transformation and to provide evidence-based knowledge for academics, policymakers and wider society. It also seeks to strengthen dialogue between the academic community and society on Europe’s sustainable development and future.

The programme will focus on three key areas: the green and digital transitions, a resilient society, and the role of the European Union in the world. These three dimensions constitute the main thematic pillars of the Transform EU project and reflect some of the most important economic, social, environmental and geopolitical challenges shaping Europe today. The discussions will address both the progress achieved in these areas and the challenges that remain, while also considering how the European Union can strengthen its resilience, competitiveness and capacity to respond to ongoing transformations.

The seminar will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the experience gained through the project’s research, teaching and outreach activities, including seminars, conferences, lectures, training activities and publications. These initiatives have been designed to promote knowledge about Europe’s green and digital transformation, stimulate discussion on Europe’s future and strengthen links between research, education, policymaking and society.

The seminar will take place on 15 September 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., at the Poznań University of Economics and Business, Room 4.1 D, 53 Towarowa Street, Poznań, and will also be available online.

We warmly invite academics, students, policymakers and everyone interested in the future of Europe to join us for this discussion.
